Burlingame Woman's Club

Constructed in 1913, the Burlingame Woman’s Club is set back from the street and fronted by a small lawn with plantings and a concrete pathway leading to the building. The history of the Club itself dates back to its founding in 1907, when members held their first meetings at the railroad station. Among these women's initial goals were passing anti-liquor laws in Burlingame and advocating construction of a safety station for passengers boarding trains running to and from San Francisco.
