This concert is part of the free Target Summer Pops series, sponsored by Target. Performances in this series are held on the grassy mall of San Jose State University. Plentiful parking is available nearby, and you can enter at 4th Street and W. San Carlos Street. You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch or supper and a beach chair.

San Jose Taco Festival of Innovation
Moveable Feast

The feast day will be filled with tastings, art, and performances. There will be a curated selection of over 35 of the best food trucks from all over the Bay Area serving their best rendition of a taco. All plates will be $5 or less. Short rib tacos, nacho tacos, Vietnamese shrimp tacos, and even ice cream tacos is just a sample of the day's menu. Tacos in the competition will be voted on by attendees. Finalists will be judged by a celebrity panel and prizes will be awarded based on quality and presentation. The onsite Firehouse building will be converted into a VIP area with all you can eat tacos and an open bar.
While food is the main attraction, various entertainment options will be provided for the crowd. A music program entitled "Concert in the Park" will be provided with various live musical acts throughout the day. There will be a kids area near the stables with pinatas, balloon artists, and face painters. Luche Libre (Mexican-style masked wrestling) with full wrestling ring will also occur throughout the festival. A selection of approximately twenty art, jewelry, and clothing vendors and community partners will have a presence at the event. The taco festival will also play host to the second annual U.S. Air Accordion Championship competition.

Starlab Sky Show

Enter the amazing dome of a Starlab planetarium and see the glittering stars of the night sky projected overhead. Discover the brightest constellations visible each night and the stars used by pilots, sailors and others to navigate across vast and featureless oceans. These special star shows are approximately 30 minutes.
Children ages 5 and up are welcome with an accompanying adult at any presentation time. Children ages 3-5 may attend the 10:30am presentation, with one accompanying adult required for each child. Children age 2 and under are not recommended. Participants must craw through a short tunnel with reduced lighting to access the inside of the Starlab dome and remain seated throughout the 30-minute presentation.
Space for each presentation is limited, and a separate Starlab ticket is required for each participant in addition to Museum admission. Tickets may be purchased at the Museum Gift Shop on the day of the program.

Civil War Battles and Encampment - Train Rides and Entertainment

Visit encampments of Union and Confederate solders and witness historic battles at one of the longest-running Civil War reenactments in the West. Be advised that occasional loud cannon and gunfire may be heard as part of the re-enactment activities during the day. It is not advisable to bring dogs to this event.

A Little Night Music

The romantic and achingly beautiful A Little Night Music deals with middle-aged lawyer Fredrik Egerman's search for love. His teenage trophy wife, Anne, refuses to have sex with him. As a result, Fredrik's eyes begin to wander as he searches for meaning and fulfillment elsewhere. Sophisticated, literate, and stylish, A Little Night Music is also disarmingly warm, funny, charming, and very human. It's well-constructed book features strong and memorable characters. The lilting, Ravel-inspired score includes the songs Remember and Everyday a Little Death and ends with the haunting Send in the Clowns.
