About the artist:
oe Duffy is an award winning Director, Choreographer and Performing Artist. His career spans nearly 30+ years and includes international engagements, master classes and productions as a singer, dance company and choral member/conductor and stage/film/tv actor. As a model, he was signed by several agencies in print/runway and in commercials and was the recipient of three National Association of Teachers of Singing Awards. Opening at the Kennedy Center in 1988. as a principal soloist, he remained there for 4 seasons. Broadway/National Tour credits: PARADE - First Bway/National Company with Director, Harold Prince; Gypsy (US/Canadian Co.), Babes in Toyland at Madison Square Garden, Monster in the Woods (Orig. Cast-Workshop/Kennedy Center/Televised). Off-Broadway: Choreographer-Sacramento...50 Miles! for NYC Children's Music Workshop and A.D. on I GOT MERMAN (American Premiere). Regional: Of Thee I Sing/ Let ‘Em Eat Cake and Stravinsky's Le Rossignol with the San Francisco Symphony and Maestro Michael Tilson Thomas, Pippin (BATCC Award for Best Choreography), Sweeney Todd (Dean Goodman Award and BATCC Nom.), Gershwin! By George (World Premiere/Dance Arrangements), Philadelphia Orchestra 100th Birthday Celebration, Candide and The Snow Queen at the Hal Prince Theatre and 11 productions for the former American Musical Theatre of San Jose. When not directing, he freelances as theatre faculty and offers private career counseling to artists in transition between their schooling and/or career ventures.
