Actor - Dancer - Musician - Singer
About the artist: SEAN RAY, a native New Yorker, moved to San Francisco in the summer of 1999. His Bay Area debut was in Broadway by the Bay's Jesus Christ Superstar. He was also seen in Tapestry and Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly at the New Conservatory Theatre.
Off-Broadway, Sean bared it all as "Alphonse" in the 20th anniversary production of Boy Meets Boy. Other regional and dinner theatre credits include The Pirates Of Penzance, Hello, Dolly!, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, La Cage Aux Folles, Gypsy, The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas, South Pacific, A Christmas Carol, Baby, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Evita, They're Playing Our Song and Bye, Bye Birdie.
Sean's solo recording work can be heard on “Stage 2: The Human Heart”, and “Encore! The Stage Series” from DINK Records (www.dinkrecords.com), as well as “The Day After That” with Liza Minnelli. He is also a featured soloist on “Look To The Rainbow” with The New York City Gay Men’s Chorus. His television credits include “The Joan Rivers Show” and PBS’s “Great Performances” (with Patti Labelle).
Sean is the creator and producer of the annual Valentine's Cabaret to Fight AIDS, a benefit for the UCSF AIDS Health Project, hosted by Donna Sachet.
Currently, he is working on the 4th Valentines Cabaret, taking place Tuesday, February 22nd at The Plush Room in San Francisco. The cabaret features many favorite Bay Area performers including Jeanne Batacan-Harper, Lara Bruckmann, Wade Marshal Crosson, Beth Elliot, Jorge Hernandez, Michelle Jones, Shannon Koon, Ryan Rigazzi, Pia Sprague, Steve Valdez and Thena Yacap-Zaragoza.
