    About the artist: Steve Curl is an award-winning fine artist, illustrator and Editorial Cartoonist who resides in Palo Alto, California. His fine art focus is the landscape in the medium of Watercolor. Most of his paintings are derived from his travels and hiking/backpacking trips in the High Sierras and Colorado Rockies. He shows his work in galleries and in Open Studios showings in Bay Area, California (www.soarts.com/pa/stevecurl).

    Steve has been teaching Watercolor Painting since 1990 at the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto (www.pacificartleague.org) where he has a regular following of students and full classes. He also teaches in the International Elderhostel Organization where he takes students on Watercolor Painting excursions in Mexico. Steve has also taught for several consecutive summers now at the Ah Haa School in Telluride, Colorado.

    Steve graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio in 1975 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with minors in Art & Journalism. He furthered his Fine Art Education at the San Francisco Academy of Art College, the Taos Institute of the Arts, and The Atlin Art Center-Atlin, BC. Most recently, Steve has been studying extensively with Charles Reid in small Watercolor Workshops throughout the United States.
