About the artist: Jared Lee (AEA) returned to the Bay Area after rolling across the country in the National Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express (Prince of Wales/Red Caboose). Locally, he has performed with AMTSJ: Miss Saigon (Assistant Commissar/u/s Thuy), Broadway By the Bay: The King and I (King), Flower Drum Song (Ta – Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award nom.), Jesus Christ Superstar (Annas), Damn Yankees (Smokey), San Jose Repertory Theatre: Making Tracks (California Premiere – Ensemble), Foothill Music Theatre: On the Town (Gabey), 42nd Street Moon: Funny Face (Ritz Quartet), Palo Alto Players: Personals (Sam), CCT: Oklahoma! (Will Parker), BCT: Into the Woods (Cinderella’s Prince/Wolf), A Grand Night For Singing (Company), Spectacles Productions: LuminEssence (male production vocalist).

Jared took his first steps on the stage at a tap dance recital at the age of 4 and has since gone on to perform with several dance groups, most recently the Eclectic Dance Company headed by Diana Cushway. He has toured California with the Mexican folkloric dance troupe, Balet Folklorico Alma de Mexico, and currently studies contemporary jazz dance with Ray Tadio, formerly of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. He has also found himself on stage in the competitive bodybuilding arena where he’s won several titles including the 1995 Contra Costa Teenage Bodybuilding Championship. Jared is a graduate of UC Davis (Managerial Economics) and currently resides in the Bay Area with his wife Alisa and son Evan.
