Submit An Event

Submission Guidelines
- Please Read Before Submitting -

 
Location:  Events must occur in the Silicon Valley region (Santa Clara County, San Mateo County, and southern Alameda County).

Public Events:  Events must be open to the public. Member-only events are not published.

When to Post: As soon as possible. The longer it's on LiveSV, the more people can see it.  Please post at least 2 weeks in advance. (2 or even 12 months in advance is better!)

Description: Make your Description user-friendly. We suggest...:
* Writing at least two sentences of description.
* Using complete sentences.  Choppy paragraphs are off-putting for some readers.
* Avoiding looooong descriptions.  People want to learn about your event, but don't want to read an essay.
* Not including in the paragraph(s) information already listed elsewhere on your page (e.g. phone, dates, website links).

Phone: Even if your event is free, please list a phone number in the Ticketing section.

Auditions: Tryouts should not be listed as Events. Please post them to our free Classifieds Section.

Images (Pictures): 
*IMPORTANT: Image names must NOT contain spaces between words, question marks, exclamation points, question marks, apostrophes, quotation marks, or most other symbols. (Hyphens and underscore marks are acceptable.)  Also, names must be 20 characters or shorter. Our system will reject images with improper names.
*Larger image sizes work better on LiveSV.  When possible, please use sizes of 400x400 pixels or bigger, up to 800x800 pixels.

Publishing: LiveSV.com reserves the right to edit images and text for grammar, style and accuracy.
