In a working class suburb of Tel Aviv, five hours from Paris, two people meet. He is a born-and-bred Israeli, and she is a Russian immigrant. He is a taxi driver, and she is a music teacher. He is afraid of flying. and she is about to fly away. Five Hours From Paris was released in 2009 in Hebrew and Russian with English subtitles.

After his longtime business partner dies, Yakov Fidelman's antique furniture restoration shop is in grave financial difficulty. He's forced to deal with his estranged son who proposes building apartments above it, and his new apprentice, who finds a neglected piano in the workshop that might be worth enough to save the store.
