  Ohlone's Tuba Ensemble kicks off the last concert of the semester, followed by the excellent Ohlone Community Band. The band commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Civil War with a medley of that era's tunes. The top trumpeters will be performing a "Divertissement for Three Trumpeters" plus the band performs Bernstein's Slava! and Carmen Dragon's lovely arrangement of "America the Beautiful." Other works, including the famous Pasodoble piece Espana Cani, will also be highlights. The Ohlone Tuba Ensemble is one of the few in the Western US, and is performing surprising arrangements of many current tunes. Collapse
