This 1971 cult film revolves around two street racers traveling Route 66 in a modified '55 Chevy.  The pair challenges local residents to races along the way. The film stars James Taylor, Warren Oates, Laurie Bird, and Dennis Wilson--drummer for the Beach Boys.

Tokyo Waka - Screening and Discussion

Tokyo Waka is a 63-minute documentary essay about Tokyo’s crows, with digressions into art, history, and culture. It is a poem about Tokyo and its people, and the relentless tenacity of nature in a most unnatural world.

Journey to the Edges of Color - Kevin Bean Recent Paintings and Drawings

“Kevin Bean’s recent paintings and drawings are an explosion of geometric shapes and color that invite the viewers to engage in a journey to a world without reference to anything but itself,” states curator Enrique Chagoya. A figurative painter for many years, Bean’s earlier body of work comprised a very diverse group of paintings that ranged from referencing family-type photographs to culturally-shaped images of Abraham Lincoln and Martha Stewart.

Artists Boo Chapple, Jacqueline Gordon, Dorian Katz, Sanaz Mazinani, and Jerome Reyes have created a socially engaging and visually compelling show that exhibits a panorama of recent work that addresses topics of gender, identity, environment, and heritage.
