	Valentino for Valentine's Day - Silent Films Presented by Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum at Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum February 11, 2012 Rudolph Valentino returns to the Niles Essanay screen for Valentine's Day with Vilma Banky as his romantic interest in his great and final film, Son of the Sheik (1926). A trio of George Melies shorts will precede the feature film--Jupiter’s Thunderbolts (1903), The Mermaid (1904), and The Magic Lantern (1903)--along with the short The Man from Tia Juana (1917) featuring Marin Sais and Jack Hoxie. 	Laurel & Hardy plus Our Gang - Talkie Matinee with Film Appreciation Meeting Presented by Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum at Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum February 12, 2012 The Midnight Patrol Tent of the "Sons of the Desert," the International Laurel & Hardy vintage comedy film appreciation society, will once again be meeting at the Edison Theater prior to the films. The public is welcome to attend their friendly, informal, and very informative meeting. The feature film for the afternoon will be Our Relations (1936). In the main feature, Scaramouche (1923), the French Revolution comes to life under the direction of the great Rex Ingram. Starring Ramon Novarro, Alice Terry, and Lewis Stone, this is an epic tale of action, adventure, and romance. The feature film is preceded by the George Melies shorts The Infernal Cauldron (1903) and The Damnation of Faust (1903). Also screening will be the short Hot Foot (1923) featuring Bobby Dunn.
