2011 Art in Clay Sale

The Orchard Valley Ceramic Arts Guild is returning to the Lucie Stern Community Center in Palo Alto for its 11th Art in Clay sale! More than fifty Bay Area artists will present their newest creations at this event. The handmade ceramics span all styles of work, from raku to woodfire, garden items, sculpture, functional tableware and decorative art. Artists will be available to answer questions, discuss their work and/or accept custom orders.

Hand Building with Slabs - Lynn Wood Workshop

Lynn Wood hosts this two day, hands-on workshop on Boxes, Baskets and More. If you liked Lynn's demonstration at Clay Carnival, you will love learning some great new techniques and tips in an entertaining, easy going atmosphere. If you haven't taken a workshop with Lynn, you will be in for a delightful, energetic experience. This workshop is limited to twenty people, so don't wait too long!

The Language of Clay - Exhibition

The Orchard Valley Ceramic Arts Guild has been chosen to mount a large exhibition at the Olive Hyde Art Gallery in Fremont, located across the street from the Historic Mission San Jose. The exhibit will include original functional, decorative, and sculptural work created by Guild members. Selected pieces will be available for sale.

Sixty ceramic artists from all over Silicon Valley present their latest creations from the kiln at this 9th Annual Art In Clay Show. The public is invited to take a tactile tour of funky new work. On display will be contemporary ceramics -- from funky and functional tableware, decorative ceramic art, jewelry and raku to woodfire, sculpture, Ikebana vessels, and even holiday-themed items. Mingle with the artists and enjoy light refreshments throughout the day.
