Creators Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen traveled to Jordan in June 2008 to find out, firsthand, what happened to the Iraqi civilians as a result of events that began on that fateful day. They interviewed some thirty-five people—a cross-section of lives interrupted—who fled the chaos and violence that befell Iraqi society for the relative safety of Jordan. Aftermath...   This excellent production is about a tragic piece of U.S. history that is hauntingly brought back to us as a musical. It could be filed in the same shelf as "Cabaret" and is led by two outstanding... Expand

  This excellent production is about a tragic piece of U.S. history that is hauntingly brought back to us as a musical. It could be filed in the same shelf as "Cabaret" and is led by two outstanding actors who recently played leads in "Chicago". But "Parade" makes you think about how realistic our theatrical arts can be ... it presents a very ugly side of U.S. history in the form of a musical. It is a great production with an outstanding cast of dedicated actors. It is difficult to stage a musical about anti-semitism, racism and injustice but this is so well- played and directed it is well worth the viewing. It is a story with great social significance and shows us how powerful live theatre can be as an insight to history. Collapse
