    Oriki Theater is a nonprofit community theater that brings to its audiences a shared experience of the real Africa, its people and their way of life. Their African folk theater style is one which uses a unique combination of dance, drama, music, poetry, folk stories and the drum. Founded in 1992, Oriki participates in over twenty public engagements every year. From outreach in local schools to large performances such as the World Cup Soccer...

    Oriki Theater is a nonprofit community theater that brings to its audiences a shared experience of the real Africa, its people and their way of life. Their African folk theater style is one which uses a unique combination of dance, drama, music, poetry, folk stories and the drum.

    Founded in 1992, Oriki participates in over twenty public engagements every year. From outreach in local schools to large performances such as the World Cup Soccer Opening Ceremonies, the theater seeks to provide various ways for participants to experience African culture. Along with productions, Oriki Theater has various community programs including school performances and workshops, African drumming and dance classes, Rites of Passage programs, summer theater camp, African family retreat, African Village on Tour and the Silicon Valley African Film Festival.
