A Winter Wonderland

You are invited to the holiday performances of the original ballet, "A Winter Wonderland." This ballet brings something new to the theater that celebrates the beautiful season of winter, as well as the holiday spirit. The Academy couldn't be more elated to perform for you and offer a ballet that's a bit different from the typical holiday season offering.

The show is for all ages and open to everyone with a fun and festive holiday spirit.

Summer Ballet Performance Workshop

Presented by Academy of Classical Ballet - California

June 20-July 29, 2011

This workshop is a fun, intensive program incorporating various aspects of creating a ballet performance. Along with ballet, pointe, variations, Pilates and jazz classes, students will participate in the development of a performance and learn what takes place behind the scenes such as costuming, make-up and choreography.The workshop will culminate in an in-studio performance .

A Music Box Dream - Ballet

This special show starts with a young girl helping her elder sister prepare for her big night, as she will be attending the town's annual ball – the event of the year. Both are giddy with excitement as they sift through a jewelry box to pick out just the perfect pairing of jewels for the evening.

Ballet - Level 1

Children study basic ballet movements and vocabulary, and get an introduction to combinations and moving through space. Students build strength, endurance and a general feel for what ballet is like. Basic techniques are perfected in these levels. The beginning levels develop the body as a whole, working every muscle group equally so that one set of muscles does not overpower the others, which is crucial to avoid injury. 1-4 hrs. of  training per week.

Ballet - Level 5 and 6

For these advanced classes, students will have an extensive vocabulary and technical skill level. Students are able to execute difficult combinations and choreography requiring strength and versatility. Students at this level have an extensive vocabulary in ballet, and are strong technicians with very strong pointe skills. Students are able to execute the most difficult choreography with grace.
