This program includes Bach's Triple Concerto for flute, violin and harpsichord plus works by Telemann, Quaantz and Vivaldi. A second Bach piece is a speculative reconstruction. His Suite in B Minor has been known as being scored with a flute. However, fragments of an earlier version in A minor exist, and the group believes that the soloist in the original version was playing a soprano recorder. The Albany Consort is the first group to try this, and would enjoy including you in this musical unveiling.
