This is yet another fabulously executed (no pun intended) rendering of a unique and provocative script from local favorite RTE. The production values were pitch perfect, the staging was inspired, the plentiful fight choreography was sickeningly believable, and the performances ranged from good to truly excellent. How often do you get to walk away from a show saying all of the above? The surprising stand out of the evening (surprising only because it's not one of the piece's showier roles) was Keith C. Marshall, who was by turns hilarious and heartbreaking, but always utterly believable. If I had to make a minor quibble, it would be that a couple of the actors seemed a bit tripped up by their dialects, but that's just about all of the criticism I can offer. It's truly a stand-out offering. RTE has a bit of a cult following among adventurous theatre-goers in the South Bay, and it absolutely deserves to see that cult following grow. Drink the Renegade Kool- Aid, and don't miss this show! Collapse
