This double feature is part of Stanford Theatre's Akira Kurosawa Film Festival. In The Bad Sleep Well, a vengeful young man marries the daughter of a corrupt industrialist in order to seek justice for his father's suicide. In The Throne of Blood, a ruthlessly ambitious lord, egged on by his wife, works to fulfill a prophecy that he would become Emperor.
