Cockroaches, snakes and toads - oh my! Come discover the live critters at the Visitor & Education Center! Join Friends of Guadalupe River Park & Gardens to meet Trevor and Teva our Western Toads, Ar-Kel and El Capitan our gopher and king snakes and the Five Amigos, Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. And of course, the star, our rescued rabbit Patch! This is a great way to get up close and personal to some critters we share our space with and learn some cool facts. Did you know that pupil shapes can let you know what time of day snakes hunt? Or bunnies are most active at sunrise and twilight? We’ll observe closely and see if we can figure out if these critters are prey or predators. After playing a game outside, you’ll work on a craft critter to take home. Ages 5-10. Parents need not be present. Pre Registration is required, space is limited.
