    For the third year, composers from Silicon Valley are invited to submit their compositions to San Jose Jazz. A panel of three judges will perform a blind selection of the compositions selecting the ten to twelve compositions to be heard at the Showcase.     For the third year, composers from Silicon Valley are invited to submit their compositions to San Jose Jazz. A panel of three judges will perform a blind selection of the compositions selecting the ten to twelve compositions to be heard at the Showcase. The music will be performed by the Full Spectrum Jazz big band with the composers joining the band in some cases.

    The highly acclaimed Full Spectrum Jazz eighteen-piece big band has delighted audiences with traditional and modern jazz since 1996. Performance styles range from laid-back Count Basie swing to poly-rhythmic modern Latin. Full Spectrum Jazz has a diverse catalog of exceptional music, including original compositions and venerable jazz standards.
