STAGE THEATRE
The Man Who Saved Christmas
Presented by Stage 1 Theatre at Newark Memorial High School Theater
December 12-December 13, 2009
This show is based on the true story of toymaker A.C. Gilbert, who battled bureaucrats in Washington D.C. over a ban on toy sales in 1917. This "new old-fashioned musical” has won critical raves for its tuneful score, raucous comedy, and heart-warming sentiment.
This production is directed by creator Ron Lytle (Oh My Godmother!), and presented as a Staged Concert. It is a fundraiser for Stage 1 Community Theatre.
