Spring Festival Silicon Valley 2010 - Chinese New Year Gala

This is an international event. Through live video streaming, the joy of this important Chinese festival will be shared with the world.Starting from Chinese New Year eve, Chinese spring festivities last for several weeks. The tradition can be traced back 8,000 years. Nowadays, it has become a spiritual rite for new hope, new luck, new wealth, and all good wishes.

Chinese Performing Artists of America, known for its creativity in the production of high artistic spectacles, are producing this event. Co-sponsored by the City of San Jose, international media companies and private corporations, this event will be broadcast to the four corners of the world through the internet.

Spring Festival Silicon Valley 2010 is a sensational East-meets-West extravaganza. It not only showcases spectacular Chinese kung fu, dances, and acrobatics, but also international-famous vocalist from Afghanistan, ballet dancers from Cleveland Ballet, San Jose Taiko, and a guest star from China. Through artistic expression, this event celebrates America's diversity and inclusiveness, accepting diverse cultures as integral parts of the American society that make America great and strong.

The event last year was spectacular, while we watched, we listed the people we would bring next year (and we have our tickets!) The religious message wasn't clear, but the dancers, drummers and... Expand

The event last year was spectacular, while we watched, we listed the people we would bring next year (and we have our tickets!) The religious message wasn't clear, but the dancers, drummers and costumes were entralling! Noisy audience was the only drawback to the experience. Collapse
