Stung, Zoo Station, and Petty Theft

Stung is here to fill a void we all long for...the sound of The Police...live! This San Francisco Bay Area band has quickly made a buzz wowing audiences at the hottest Area night clubs and events around the Bay (SF Black & White Ball, Bay to Breakers "Footstock" Concert, Bimbo's 365 Club), and around the world (Holland Tribute Band Festival). Having even been blessed by a sit-in performance by Police founder/drummer Stewart Copeland at his Beverly Hills Birthday Party, this trio of gifted musicians have established themselves as the premiere Police experience! Stung remains dedicated to bringing back that authentic sound that audiences have missed for so long...the sound of the early, the original...The Police. From early Police hits like Roxanne and So Lonely, to chart toppers like Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Every Breath You Take and King of Pain, all those elements are there; the hyper-syncopated rhythm, the dreamy, ethereal guitar, the high pitched wail...you can close your eyes and forget, for a moment, that it is not the Police...and then you've been Stung!

The lights go down, it's dark and the soaring sound of a rock band bound for greatness collides with the low ceiling of a small club. It's like 1978 all over again, when U2 first stormed the pubs of Dublin, Ireland. But this is the 21st Century in San Francisco, and the band is Zoo Station, a quartet that bills itself The Complete U2 Experience. Since 2001, this talented force has delivered the visual, musical and spiritual thrill of a U2 concert to bars, clubs, outdoor festivals, private parties and corporate events along the West Coast of North America. Singer Bonalmost leads the show, flying high with the vocal strength and confidence of Bono's The Joshua Tree days. The Sledge showers thick layers of effectual guitar work over crowd as Adamesque on bass and Barely Larry on the drums deliver the pounding heartbeat of some of modern rock's most memorable songs. The band's primary job is replication, but periodically Zoo Station innovates as much as it imitates. During their trademark full-album spotlight sets in which the band plays an entire U2 album from start to finish Zoo Station encounters such obscurities as Elvis Presley and America, Promenade, Red Hill Mining Town and Acrobat, songs rarely or never performed live by U2. "Songs like these are exciting," says Bonalmost. "All we can really do is ask ourselves, "What would U2 have done onstage?"

If you love great songs and rock n’ roll music, you can’t possibly help but be a huge fan of Tom Petty’s musical catalog. If so, then you will love Petty Theft! Petty Theft is comprised of five professional Bay Area musicians that have come together to pay tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Petty Theft delivers Petty’s songs true to the originals and in the spirit of his legendary band's live shows, performing everything from his revered classics to his most current hits. Petty Theft is not an average cover band but an ultimate tribute to one of America’s most endearing rock n’ roll legends.
