    American Classics

    This concert features music by a sextet of classic American composers. The major work on the program is Vincent Persichetti's landmark Symphony Number 6, the only symphony that Persichetti wrote expressly for winds. Other works in this concert include Chance's Blue Lake Overture, Del Tredici's Acrostic Song, MacDowell's Woodland Sketches, and a Cole Porter Medley.
