The Beat Goes On - Featuring Galen Lemmon, Percussion

This concert is a rhythmic journey through the American musical landscape, from the gospel-inspired American Hymnsong Suite by Dwayne Milburn to the Civil War battlefields of Morton Gould's American Salute. It will feature Galen Lemmon, principal percussionist for Symphony Silicon Valley, performing Gary Ziek's Concerto for Percussion Solo and Wind Ensemble. Works by Milburn, Ewazen, Alexander, Ziek, Ives and Gould are also on the program.
