    Oakland-based Henna Lounge comes to you! Artist Darcy Vasudev teaches the ancient art of henna tattooing including mixing recipes, design basics and application. Darcy's mehndi work is in high demand within the Bay Area's vibrant multi-cultural community. She has also hennaed people from coast to coast in the US, and Mexico, Costa Rica, India, and Europe. Darcy's mehndi work is in high demand within the Bay Area's vibrant multi-cultural community. She has also hennaed people from coast to coast in the US, and Mexico, Costa Rica, India, and Europe. Henna (or mehndi) is a vital aspect of Indian, Pakistani, Moroccan, Yemeni, Persian, Arabian, and Sephardic wedding traditions, and for auspicious occasions of all kinds. Darcy is committed to keeping the beautiful traditions of henna alive. For children 13 and up. Participants under age 18 must have a signed permission slip. Space is limited. Please contact the library to sign up for this program.
