Violinist Elizabeth Pitcairn performs in partnership with one of the world's most legendary instruments, the Red Mendelssohn Stradivarius of 1720, the inspiration for the Academy Award-winning film The Red Violin. The program is scheduled to include excerpts from Copland's Suite from The Red Pony, Corigliano's Red Violin Chaconne, Ravel's Tzigane and Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 3 in A Minor, Op. 56.
