Gaucho benefits from the individual gifts and faculties of its members and is piloted with a steady hand by Dave Ricketts, who has a degree in classical guitar. Talented keyboardist and composer Rob Reich holds down the accordion chair with rare finesse, while guitarist Mike Groh, as a bookend to Dave, adds a discriminating palette of jazz and blues to the mix. Anchoring the rhythm section and holding it all together is Ari Munkres, who is one of the most sought-after gypsy jazz bass players in the country.
