  ok so basically i thought most of them did a great job but i was not a fan of roger. His voice was below average and he couldnt find a place to put his hands throughout the whole show and i didnt... Expand

His voice was below average and he couldnt find a place to put his hands throughout the whole show and i didnt really feel a connection between him and mimi. Collins was really moving during the ill cover you reprise, he won me over with that song. i personally feel like joanne and mark stole the show. Mark really had his character down and really thrived in every scene he was in. Joanne was very busty... but seriously she had a great voice and portrayed the character well and definitely had the joanne look. Angel and Maureen were good but forgettable same with Benny, though i must say Angel was a great dancer and Maureen really put a nice interpretation on Over the Moon anyway ya so basically i liked everyone except roger and mimi Collapse

  I have seen RENT 7 times (Broadway) so I guess you can label me as a RENT fanatic and I was so curious to see what a community theater could do with this show and I am happy to say, COMMUNITY THEATER... Expand

  I have seen RENT 7 times (Broadway) so I guess you can label me as a RENT fanatic and I was so curious to see what a community theater could do with this show and I am happy to say, COMMUNITY THEATER PALO ALTO PLAYERS deserves a standibg ovation. So many high points in the show from beginning to end. I went Saturday night and the crowd seemed to enjoy it as well. Mimi and Mark were my personal two favorites whom I became very attached to. Mimi is a triple threat with the "BIG" voice coming from that tiny young lady and great moves and acting. Mark captured me early in the show. Great vocals by Maureen and Joann and can't forget Angel. Only one let down was Roger. Good voice but acting, I wasn't feelin it. Anyway, I will not hesitate to go to another community theaters production of RENT because PAP certainly did not let us down.
