	The Nerd Presented by Santa Clara Players at Triton Museum Hall Pavilion May 18-June 9, 2012 Aspiring young architect, Willum Cubbert has often told his friends about the debt he owes to Rick Steadman, whom he has never met but who saved his life in Vietnam. He has written to Rick to say that, as long as he is alive, "you will have somebody on Earth who will do anything for you"—so Willum is delighted when Rick shows up unexpectedly at his apartment.   The ensemble of ladies of a certain age are all very well cast and a delight to watch in this script which is silly and predictable but well executed. Although the sold out house of 72 was a bit warm, and the plot a bit long, this is one of the best productions I have seen at Santa Clara Players. With the exception of a somewhat out of place silent montage during a scene change and a make-shift gurney that broke the 4th wall a bit, a fun piece for all ages! Collapse

  *All the actors did a great job. They all performed their roles very well as the delivery was loud and clear with lots of emotion. I laughed through most of it and I could really relate to the plot.... Expand

I laughed through most of it and I could really relate to the plot. I think this play was my favorite SC Players productions that I have gone to. (I have seen about 7 of their plays in the last 3 years). We always like going to a SC Players play because the theater is small and comfortable and the shows are family oriented. I am planning on buying season tickets next season. Collapse
