More than just a concert, Mariachi Goes to the Movies at the San José Mariachi and Mexican Heritage Festival is a unique and special musical event, bringing top mariachi stars of today to perform alongside the top mariachi stars of tomorrow – Mariachi Festival Workshop students.

At this year’s Mariachi Goes to the Movies concert, international mariachi superstars Aida Cuevas and Mariachi Cobre bring back the Golden Age of Mexican cinema in this special musical homage to Pedro Infante, Jorge Negrete, and La Doña María Félix. Joining them will be MHC’s very own ballet folklórico company, Los Lupeños de San José, celebrating their incredible 40th anniversary!
