The Call of the Wild... Following the Trail from Santa Clara to Alaska - Big Read Event

Dr. Daniel Dyer, a Jack London scholar and author of a Reader's Companion edition of The Call of the Wild, will give the keynote address for The Big Read in Santa Clara: a slide show presentation and lecture mapping the path traveled by the dog Buck in the novel. Dyer will discuss Jack London's links to the various places in which the action of the novel takes place.

I feel encouraged to re-read Call of the Wild with the places in mind. I didn't actually realize Buck's travel started so close to home until this talk.
