Celebrate Native American Heritage Month - Make Your Own Gourd Rattle

November is Native American Heritage Month! Celebrate with a story and craft program. Listen to a Native American tale, and then each attendee will make and design their gourd rattles to take home. Gourd rattles were often carried by dancers as part of their costumes. Gourds were considered to be objects of great power that could summon good spirits or send evil ones away.
