  This Mametesque play has some great topical material that is in places very entertaining and certainly engages the audience. Special shout out to the sound design which was clever and functional in helping underscore the material and transition scenes. Overall, I just felt that play and the performances was "okay". The 2 plus hours went by fast, but the majority of the characters aren't very likable. Lots of arguing in what seemed set oddly in the space between drama and comedy. An uncomfortable space, which on one hand may have been the intent, but on the other had made me feel like I was at a play rather than watching real life. Worth a look for sure, but for those sensitive to language be aware there is a lot of the adult kind. A %#$%&ing lot. Collapse

  A thoroughly enjoyable evening at the theater. LaBute's play resonates with anyone who's been married. The arguments and dialogue are realistic and will make you squirm as you recognize yourself and your partners. I agree with the previous reviewer's comments on the actors. I would like to see the other two plays in the trilogy or anything else by LaBute. SJ Stage Company consistently provides interesting, thoughtful and entertaining theater season after season.
