She joins the San Jose Wind Symphony and Mission Chamber Orchestra in the first two roles, and is principal violist of the Palo Alto Philharmonic and Saratoga Symphony, in addition to playing in other local groups. Jan Turnage began her music journey at age seven with piano lessons. Beginning flute in sixth grade she has studied with Helen Ann Shanley, Harry Nelson, Carol Potter and Ina Mae Holt.

Guitarist Steve Lin has performed for audiences throughout the United States, Taiwan and Italy. He is a versatile musician in both solo and ensemble and maintains an extensive repertoire, spanning from the Renaissance to the Romantic. He is also an advocate of contemporary music, actively collaborating in new projects and commissioning new works for the guitar.

Steve has received many prizes at major competitions, including Boston GuitarFest, East Carolina University Guitar Competition and Boston Classical Guitar Society Competition. He has appeared at many guitar festivals, including Yale Guitar Extravaganza, L'Accademia Musicale Chigiana, ChitarraImperia Festival, and Stetson Guitar Workshop.

Steve is currently a doctoral candidate at New England Conservatory, studying with Eliot Fisk. He also directs Boston Guitar Project, a very successful outreach initiative that has brought the guitar to new audiences throughout the New England area.
