Looking for Normal (Palo Alto Players)
Palo Alto Daily News: "...Director Marilyn Langbehn deserves credit for making this episodic, thought-provoking play gritty, raw and as realistic as possible. It's sometimes hard to watch without cringing, not because it's bad but because most audiences aren't all that comfortable witnessing people who are so painfully miserable...."
Palo Alto Weekly: "...Warm, humorous moments combine nicely with the serious scenes, and the tone never veers too far in either direction. The play is well written, paced and directed, but much of the credit is also due to the excellent cast...."

Next to Normal (San Jose Repertory Theatre)
San Jose Mercury News: "...an appealing cast of gifted singers who deliver the electric rock score with sensitivity. What the production lacks is a piercing sense of intimacy that moves us to the core. This 'Normal' never cuts close enough to the bone to be fully cathartic...."
Artsalot: "...I would have loved 'Next to Normal' if it had been a straight play or if the number of songs had been cut in half...."
San Mateo Daily Journal: "...tackles a tough but important subject in an intelligent, adult manner, making for compelling theater...."
